EMS as a Business - Who are we and what are we about?

EMS is a NZ owned business based in Christchurch which specializes in the procurement and fabrication of structural steel.

Over the past 4 years, we’ve worked exclusively with Brightwater Engineering Ltd; successfully providing project management and operational support for fabrication, manufacture, detailing and procurement in China.

With our business steadily growing and achieving the milestones set in our business strategic plan; the next step would be, to introduce our services to other businesses interested in offshore procurement of fabricated steel, equipment and engineering support.

EMS has assisted Brightwater Engineering Ltd. in supplying over 4000 tonnes of plate and structural steel fabrications into New Zealand and Australia, and aim to continue to provide high quality steel fabrications and equipment from China.

In light of the recent media events, it’s important to note that EMS ensures only high quality materials are used, and that they are traceable to their place of origin.

Supplying inferior materials and substandard workmanship is not an option.

We’re reputable, trusted and respected specialists in offshore fabrication and project management and have a motivated team of Kiwi’s, Aussies and Chinese locals working in our offshore offices in China, to ensure we’re able to oversee and maintain our high standards for reliability and quality.

Here are some of the steps we take to assure our quality and overall success:

  • Only using steel from reputable mills; CNAS accredited.
  • Using only qualified welders.
  • 3rd party inspections throughout the fabrication process.
